Foreign Policy is not today’s typical punk band. Rather than upbeat pop vocals and melodies, the Berwyn natives are loud and angry, inspired by hardcore punks like Black Flag and The Sex Pistols. South Elgin’s local music hot spot, The Last Shot Bar & Grill, hosted four groups at the end of last year. Despite its modest appearance in an unassuming strip mall, Foreign Policy, The Smoking Revolvers, Astroknots, and Chase Aways rocked the joint with their own personal take on “punk rock”.
